Berkeley veterinarian offers pet boarding.jpgFamily vacations can be a little less stressful when you have a reliable place to leave your cat or dog. Dog boarding is available at the University Veterinary Hospital in Berkeley, California. Our animal hospital and veterinary staff are dedicated to providing excellent care to your pets while you are away. Pet owners will be able to relax on their vacation knowing that their pets are being cared for by gentle and compassionate veterinary staff members at our animal hospital.

Quality Dog Boarding in Our Animal Hospital Allows Pet Owners to Relax While Traveling

Our Berkeley veterinarian is concerned with making sure your pets receive the attention they need and deserve while you are gone. We offer cat and dog boarding inside our animal hospital. We not only provide quality boarding care and nutritious meals to the pets in our facility, but our care takers also make sure your pets get one¬-on-one attention and plenty of active play time.

Pets that stay in our boarding facility have to be up-to-date on their vaccinations as well as flea and tick-free. If we notice that they have fleas or ticks while they are in our care then we will automatically treat them to protect their health and the safety of the other pets. In our care your pet will be safe and you will never have to worry about their health because our veterinarian is always close. When you come to pick up your pet, a member of our veterinary staff will give you a report that outlines your pet’s health and behavior while they were in our care. This service is available to give pet owner’s peace of mind knowing that their pets were treated fairly and cared for properly.

Besides dog boarding we offer many other services at University Veterinary Hospital including animal surgery, animal dentistry, spay and neutering services, vaccinations and emergency care. Our Berkley veterinarian and his staff will be available to answer any questions and concerns you may have about your animals.

Adopting a pet?

Posted on 2011-12-04 18:57:40

Christmas is coming! Some families find it tempting to get a dog or cat (or puppy or kitten) this time of year. If you're planning on doing so, please, stop and wait!

  • Is everyone in your family ready for another pet?
  • Have you considered what sort of pet is a good match? Are you active, and outdoors a lot? While an active dog will be fun, will you be able to take that dog out daily?
  • Do you like needy dogs? What if this needy dog bites someone?
  • Think your cat needs a friend, but your cat thinks otherwise?

The holidays are tough on the shelters; many pets are turned in. Unfortunately, after the holidays are tougher; dogs and cats purchased from pet stores end up at the shelters when, a few months later, it turns out that it just wasn't a good idea.

Want a pet for the holidays? No surprises. Talk with your family, see what everyone wants. If the children promise to take care of feedings and walking, be sure that you are ready to pick up when they slack off. Start visiting the shelter NOW, with the entire family, so that everyone can interact with the dogs and cats, and find the perfect match.   Don't surprise your family with a pet; too often this doesn't work as planned. Instead, work now on the perfect match, so that the new year starts on the right foot with your new furry buddy.
