Dr. Lam, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Samuel Lam graduated from UC Davis in 2007 with a B.A. in Psychology, Sociology, and Communications and from San Francisco State with a B.S. in Zoology and minors in Holistic Health and Chemistry. He received his AS in Veterinary Technology from Foothill College, and went on to receive his DVM from Midwestern University. Dr. Lam has been with University Vet Hospital since October of 2023. Dr. Lam cares for a small menagerie of furry (and scaly) creatures including 2 dogs (Sophie and Miho), 2 cats (Benji and Miki), 2 turtles (Pucca and Garu), and a small girly human (the one formerly known as Yuzu).

He enjoys being a veterinarian because it allows him to explore the human-animal bond, as well as the important role that pets play in the family. Dr. Lam appreciates the opportunity to be a part of that extended family, and to help preserve the bond by caring for pets when they’re sick, as well as seeing them annually for wellness exams and preventative care.

He is also quite fond of boutique board games, martial arts, exotic coffee beans, Japanese pop culture, and diaper duty along with all cute things big and small.
